To the City of Virginia, especially the crews working behind the scenes to close streets, prepare Downtown, keep things moving, and help us put everything back together again, we are incredibly grateful.
To everyone who attended, THANK YOU for coming Downtown, supporting our vendors and local businesses, bringing your families and friends, and making this festival feel like the community celebration we dreamed it could be. ❤️

There are not many of us. There are long hours, countless details, lots of running around, and plenty of work that happens when nobody is watching. You show up, pitch in, solve problems, haul things, answer questions, laugh through the chaos, and somehow make it all come together. This event simply would not happen without you.
The Food Truck Festival was a GREAT SUCCESS, and it happened because an entire community came together to make it happen.

Bring the kids to Chestnut Street for some Halloween fun!
Join us on Halloween, October 31, from 3–5 PM in Downtown Virginia for Trunk or Treat!
There will be lots of trick-or-treating opportunities along Chestnut Street, with plenty of fun geared toward our littlest ghosts and goblins. 🧙♀️🦇🍭
Visitors to Chestnut Street will find:

Come dressed up, bring your candy buckets, and enjoy Halloween in Downtown Virginia!
Interested in participating or setting up at the Trunk or Treat?
We’d love to have you join us! Whether you’re a local organization, business, vendor, or community member, this is a great opportunity to get involved and be part of the fun.
No advance registration is required. Spaces are first come, first serve.

Please park along Chestnut Street in any of the open parking spaces.

Participants should plan to arrive early enough to park, decorate, and be ready before the event begins at 3:00 pm.

Decorations should be family-friendly and appropriate for children of all ages. Spooky is encouraged, but please avoid anything overly graphic, violent, frightening, or otherwise inappropriate for young children.

A few simple guidelines:

Decorate your trunk, vehicle, or parking space with a fun Halloween theme.

Bring enough candy or treats to hand out throughout the event.

Store-bought, individually wrapped treats are preferred.

Costumes are encouraged!

No alcohol, tobacco, weapons, open flames, or unsafe props.

Vehicles must remain parked during the event unless directed otherwise by event organizers.

Please keep decorations within your assigned parking area – one parking space per person – lets keep the sidewalks and walkways between cars clear.

Participants are responsible for cleaning up their space before leaving.

Event organizers reserve the right to ask that any decoration, costume, prop, or activity that is considered unsafe or inappropriate for a family event be removed.

Where Holiday Magic Comes to Life in Downtown Virginia!
Celebrate the season at the Twilight Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 21, 2026!
Gather your family and friends and head downtown for an evening filled with holiday cheer, festive floats, twinkling lights, and community spirit.
The parade begins at 5:15 p.m., followed by a spectacular fireworks show at 6:15 p.m. It’s a festive evening you won’t want to miss!
Want to join the fun? Local businesses, organizations, community groups, clubs, and other participants are invited to take part in the 2026 Twilight Holiday Parade. Bring your holiday spirit, decorate your entry, and help us make this year’s parade magical!
